UKTV sees strong commercial share growth in H1

UK multi-channel broadcaster UKTV saw its share of commercial impacts (SOCI) average at 9.74 percent for 1st-half 2016. The company grew its ad impacts 7.6 percent year-on-year, while the market grew by only 2.7 percent. It also achieved 10 percent SOCI for a full quarter for the first time in Q2. Audience share, inclusive of non-commercial television, was up 7.6 percent in 1st-half 2016 from 1st-half 2015. UKTV's VoD service also registered year-on-year growth of 12 percent in H1.
