Under half of UK counties expect broadband targets to be met

The CCN said it fears that rural communities will not achieve the GBP 35 billion of additional economic growth predicted by the department for the environment, food and rural affairs (Defra), if superfast (24 Mbps+) broadband targets are not met. The survey also found that fewer than a third of county councils think the delivery process and market were sufficiently competitive.
