Uninor sees revenues grow, EBITDA loss narrows in Q2

Indian mobile operator Uninor's second-quarter revenues totaled NOK 1.362 billion, up from NOK 1.021 billion a year ago, controlling shareholder Telenor reported. The EBITDA loss narrowed to NOK 90 million from NOK 170 million a year earlier. Telenor's Indian operation added 1.3 million subscriptions in the second quarter, increasing the total subscription base to 39.8 million at end-June. At the end of the quarter, the operator's subscriber base was 22 percent higher than the same quarter last year.
