Unitymedia brings 400 Mbps to 10 mln German households

German cable operator Unitymedia has given customers across its network access to download speeds of 400 Mbps, covering 10 million households in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Baden-Wurttemberg. The company has been upgrading its hybrid fibre-coax network since the beginning of the year. The company is offering private customers a Max 400 tariff since February, with the option of bundling phone and TV, while businesses will be able to purchase Office Internet 400 tariffs or bundles from November. Unitymedia said its network could potentially offer speeds of up to 1 Gbps in the future with
