UOKiK criticises draft Telecommunications Act amendment

Tuesday 29 August 2017 | 11:07 CET | News
The draft amendment of the Telecommunications Act, prepared by the Polish Ministry of Digitisation, has raised concerns at the consumer protection authority UOKiK, reported DGP. The main objection is to the proposed new way of concluding contracts, under which a draft document is sent by e-mail to the consumer and signed by responding "I agree" to the email. This according to UOKiK, worsens consumer protection, including marginalised groups with particular needs, such as senior citizens.
