UPC Netherlands reaches 120,000 active hotspots

UPC Netherlands said it has activated a total 120,000 hotspots through its programme for shared access to customer modems. The roll-out of the Wi-Fi service is completed in the provinces of Friesland and Flevoland, and hotspots in Gelderland and North Brabant will be added in February, followed by North Holland in March and South Holland in April. UPC said the roll-out was on track and should reach half a million hotspots in April.
