UPC Romania CEO says consolidation needed to support investment

Romania needs billions of euros of infrastructure investment over the next 10-15 years in order to have internet networks capable of supporting the new wave of technologies and applications specific to the third stage of the internet's development, UPC Romania and UPC Hungary's CEO Robert Redeleanu told local paper Ziarul Financiar. He was speaking during a meeting with the local media. Realisation of the investments will require local authorities to keep an open mind on market consolidation, Redeleanu said.
