UPC Romania launches offensive on cable market

Cable operator UPC Romania entered three new counties through the acquisition of smaller companies and the launch of new campaigns whose aim is to attract customers from rival companies, writes local paper Ziarul Financiar. The recent moves show that the operator dropped its defensive strategy whose aim was to maintain its number of customers. According to a document published in the country's official gazette, UPC  approved the opening of new branches in the counties of Covasna, Dambovita and Prahova in July.
