Uplus, Microsoft launch Biz Skype cloud communication system

South Korean mobile operator LG Uplus, in partnership with Microsoft, has introduced a service dubbed 'Biz Skype'. LG Uplus claims the Biz Skype service is the world's first cloud business communication system based on its internet phone, The Korea Times reports. Biz Skype is a combination of Uplus' internet phone and Microsoft's 'Skype for Business' platform, an upgrade from the enterprise communication service 'Lync'. The new service is also compatible with Microsoft's Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
