Uplus, Ssangyong, Tech Mahindra develop connected car tech

South Korean operator LG Uplus has signed a MoU with Ssangyong Motor and India's Tech Mahindra to develop connected car services. The three partners plan to jointly develop and provide automobile infotainment content through LTE telecom modems embedded in cars, The Korea Times reports, citing LG Uplus Business Solution Division EVP Kang Moon-seok. The new services are scheduled for launch in the next three years, LG Uplus said.
