US Cellular issues USD 500 mln in 50-year notes

US Cellular has priced USD 500 million in 5.5 percent senior notes due 2070. The company will use part of the proceeds to redeem its USD 300 million in 7.25 percent notes due 2064. The remainder may go towards refinancing, spectrum and capex. The notes are callable from 2026 and will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
