US industry launches authority to fight unwanted robocalling

The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) has formally launched the Secure Telephone Identity Governance Authority (STI-GA), an industry-led effort to stop unwanted robocalling, which the FCC said was the number one cause of complaints. STI-GA will support the Stir-Shaken protocol and framework, developed by ATIS and the SIP Forum.
