A total of 54 percent of US households receive Netflix, compared to 53 percent with a DVR, according to the latest consumer survey from Leichtman Research. This represents the first time that households with Netflix (including those sharing passwords) have surpassed the level of those with a DVR, said the report, adding that in 2011, some 44 percent of TV households had a DVR and 28 percent had Netflix.
