US OPIC starts finance talks with Mawingu Networks

The US government's Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) has signed a mandate letter to begin financing discussions with Mawingu Networks, which provides solar-powered wireless internet across rural Kenya. OPIC CEO Elizabeth Littlefield was in Nairobi for the 2015 Global Entrepreneur Summit and said financial support at crucial stages of a company's business evolution can transform a great idea into a reality for millions in the developing world.
