US pay-TV providers lose 1.9 mln subscribers in Q1, after historic losses at cable companies

Video subscriber losses among the largest US pay-TV providers, representing 95 percent of the market, were almost unchanged in the first quarter at a net 1.895 million, from a pro forma loss of 1.955 million the year before, according to the latest report from Leichtman. Over the past year, the providers posted a loss of 4.790 million subscribers, against 5.125 million the year earlier.
