US pay-TV providers lose 665,000 subs in Q2 - Leichtman

Monday 15 August 2016 | 17:03 CET | News
The 11 largest pay-TV providers in the US lost around 665,000 net subscribers in the second quarter, some 120,000 more than the 545,000 net subscriber loss registered in the year-earlier quarter, according to a report from Leichtman Research. Over the past year, the top pay-TV providers lost about 705,000 subscribers, compared to a loss of about 380,000 over the prior year. The losses were led by AT&T U-verse's 391,000 net decline, the highest ever quarterly fall by any provider.
