USA vs Germany match breaks Xfinity TV viewing record

The USA vs Germany world cup football match was the most viewed live streaming event ever for Comcast's Xfinity TV platform, with 683,000 live streams either directly through Xfinity TV or via WatchESPN, according to Comcast's director of TV everywhere content and product strategy, Vito Forlenza. The match had 63 percent more viewers than the previous record holder, the USA vs Canada men' hockey semifinal at the Sochi Winter Olympics. In the first 18 days of the World Cup competition, Xfinity TV has delivered 9.2 million live streams, versus 7.8 million for the entire Sochi Olympics. The
