Revenue opportunities for mobile network operators aside from voice, messaging and mobile data termination are set to nearly double to USD 120 billion by 2024, from USD 67 billion this year, according to a new report from Juniper Research. The series of revenue-generating streams open to network operators to offset declining revenues from voice and messaging termination include mobile identity services, carrier billing and cellular IoT connectivity, said the report, which also encourages MNOs to optimise LTE networks for data services, prepare for future 5G networks and explore new options to
