Venezuela allows operators to hike prices

Venezuela's telecommunications watchdog Conatel has finally allowed the country's operators to increase prices after repeatedly rejecting proposed hikes, according to local sources cited by Telesemana. Telefonica, Digitel and Cantv have already implemented substantial rate rises exceeding 2,000 percent in certain cases in view of the country's rampant inflation.
