VeriSign lifts revenues, profit in solid Q3

VeriSign lifted revenues for the third quarter by 3.1 percent year-on-year to USD 318 million and its net profit to USD 171 million or USD 1.49 per diluted share, from 154 million and 1.30 per share. The profit figure includes the recognition of USD 24 million worth of unrecognised income tax benefits. Meanwhile, the operating margin went a bit lower, to 65 percent from 66.7 percent, while cash and cash equivalents declined by USD 68 million from the end of December to USD 1.15.
