Verizon, Calix provide 34 Gbps over fibre using bonded ONT technology

Verizon and Calix achieved 34 Gbps speeds over fibre optic cable through use of a bonded next-generation passive optical network 2 (NG-PON2) optical network terminal (ONT) prototype on Verizon's simplified, increasingly automated fibre network. This was achieved in the Verizon Innovation Center in Waltham, Massachusetts.
