Verizon introduces new Caller ID feature to identify spam calls

Verizon said it will be introducing a new Caller ID feature aimed at landline phone customers looking to protect themselves from potential malicious robocalls. Verizon's new Spam Alerts service will now show "SPAM?" before a caller's name on the Caller ID display if the calling number matches Verizon's spam criteria. The customer can then decide if they want to answer that call.
