Verizon offers USD 100,000 grant to United Way of Miami-Dade for Bahamas relief

The Verizon Foundation announced a USD 10,000 grant to the United Way of Miami-Dade to support the immediate relief efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Dorian's devastation in the Bahamas. Following Dorian's battering of the Bahamas, Verizon customers will receive unlimited calling and texting from the US to the Bahamas through 9 September (applicable taxes and surcharges will apply). Verizon roaming partner in the Bahamas is working quickly to restore services impacted by the storm and the operator will stay in contact with them as their work continues.
