Verizon revamps Hum car services, starts premium tier

Verizon is revamping its range of connectivity services for drivers. The Hum range now includes three options. The premium HumX service includes a new Wi-Fi hotspot capability, high-end hardware and a new mobile app for iOS and Android devices. The standard Hum offering, including the core set of Hum features like auto health and diagnostics, driving history, boundary and speed alerts, and vehicle location, will now be known as Hum+. Also launching from 24 March is a free app that allows consumers to access some of Hum's basic features, while giving them the option of upgrading to either Hum+
