Viacom to make MTV Germany free-to-air from 2018

Viacom International Media Networks announced that MTV Germany will become a free-to-air channel in Germany and Austria from January 2018. After the start of the free Livestream service on MTV.de, the broadcaster said it's taking the next step to expand its audience by making the linear channel available unencrypted.
