Viag Interkom, mobile phone unit of Viag, has signed a roaming agreement with Swisscom (Switzerland), operator, to extend its coverage in Germany. Viag Interkom currently has 3,500 base stations in Germany, covering eight population regions. The agreement will provide Viag Interkom with national coverage as Swisscom has roaming agreements with Mannesmann, E-Plus and Deutsche Telekom, all mobile phone operators and rivals of Viag Interkom.
