Viasat plans to enter Brazil by 2020 even without Telebras

According to Lisa Scalpone, Viasat's international vice president and general manager for Brazil, the country has always been on Viasat's long-term roadmap and the partnership with Telebras would have enabled Viasat to bring this plan forward, reports Teletime. In any case, the company plans to enter Brazil with the Viasat 3 satellite constellation, which starts operating in 2020 and will cover all of Latin America. The first satellite in this series is under construction.
