Videofutur upgrades SD films to HD at no extra charge

STB maker Netgem's French SVOD subsidiary, Videofutur, has upgraded all of the films on its La Box Videofutur on demand service to HD with no change in price a week ahead of Netflix's arrival in the country, reports Degroup News. The box is compatible with allof the market's STBs and offers film rentals starting at EUR 2.99 for a month. In comparison, renting an SD film from Apple Store or other VOD platforms start at EUR 4.99, and cost EUR 5.99 in HD. Customers pay EUR 10 a month to rent the box with no contract tie-in, for unlimited access to TV series and recent movies, available 4 months
