Videotron adds almost 67,000 RGUs in Q3

Canadian media group Quebecor reported revenues from telecommunications of CAD 738.2 million in the third quarter, up 3.3 percent year-on-year. Adjusted operating profit from telecom rose 2.9 percent to CAD 339.4 million. The growth came from expansion in mobile telephony, where revenues increased by 30.5 percent, and internet access, with revenues up 6.6 percent. Its cable unit Videotron grew its revenue-generating units by 66,900 in the third quarter to 5.112 million, compared with a 43,500-unit increase in the same period of 2013.
