Videotron launches Fibre Hybrid internet plans

Canadian operator Videotron has introduced a six new Fibre Hybrid internet plans for residential customers. Current subscribers to 15 Mbps and 30 Mbps plans will be able to double their download speeds for virtually the same price, according to Videotron. They new plans are available on the operator's hybrid network, which includes over 30,000 km of fibre optic cable. The CAD 35.95 entry-level plan is Fibre Hybrid 5, offering 5 Mbps downstream, 1 Mbps upstream and a 10 GB data cap. Prices start at CAD 35.95 a month.
