Videotron passes 700,000 mobile customers

Canadian operator Videotron reported second-quarter revenues of CAD 43.9 million, up 6.3 percent from a year earlier thanks mainly to expansion in the mobile market. Adjusted operating profit rose 3.1 percent to CAD 10.2 million. The company added a net 12,900 revenue-generating units in the quarter for a total 5.52 million, and ARPU increased 8.2 percent from a year earlier to CAD 133.71, thanks to the increased mobile revenues. Videotron added over 40,000 new mobile customers in Q2, for a total 703,000 at the end of June. Digital TV customers increased by almost 9,000 to 2.64 million, while
