Vietnam nears 10 million pay-TV service subscribers

Vietnam ended July with around 9.9 million pay-TV subscribers, up from only 6 million at 31 December 2014, according to a report from the Ministry of Information and Communications. At end-July, Vietnam had around 5.99 million cable TV analog subscribers and 778,000 DVB-C, Docsis users. There were also 300,000 DTT subscribers across Vietnam. Total revenues in the TV sector hit VND 9.2 trillion (approximately USD 423.2 million) at end-July.
