Viettel launches student promotion

Vietnamese military-run communications provider Viettel has launched an extended promotion for students. The operator is offering gifts, such as mobile phones, to new students, especially to those who came first in their entrance examination for universities and colleges, the SGGP reports. The promotion campaign will run until end-October. Viettel has run this programme every year since 2008 but has expanded the programme this year to cover over 800 universities and colleges, up by 300 institutions.
