Vip Mobile Q2 revenue up 18.5%

Serbian operator Vip Mobile ended the second quarter with revenue of EUR 53.0 million, up 18.5 percent on a year earlier, driven primarily by higher equipment revenues. EBITDA was up 1.0 percent to EUR 16.0 million, while EBIT was a negative EUR 1.7 million, compared to a loss of EUR 2.3 million in Q2 2013, parent company Telekom Austria reported. Negative forex effects took EUR 1.7 million off revenue and EUR 0.5 million off EBITDA in the period. ARPU fell 4.2 percent ear-on-year to EUR 7.10, resulting from lower traffic and interconnection.
