Vipnet sees 5.6% drop in Q2 revenue to EUR 92.6 million

Croatian operator Vipnet ended the second quarter with revenue of EUR 92.6 million, a 5.6 percent decrease on a year earlier. EBITDA was EUR 22.2 million, down 29.6 percent, and EBIT fell 67.4 percent to EUR 4.9 million. The mobile subscriber base declined by 3.8 percent year-on-year to 1.83 million, driven primarily by fewer pre-paid customers. Compared to March, Vipnet gained a net 22,400 new customers, including 50,600 in prepaid and 28,100 fewer contract customers. ARPU amounted to EUR 11.10 in Q2, a drop of 7.5 percent from a year ago.
