Virgin, EE fined fined for overcharging customers, Virgin to appeal ruling

Virgin Media and EE have been fined GBP 7 million and GBP 6.3 million respectively by UK regulator Ofcom for overcharging broadband and phone customers wanting to leave their contracts early. The combined GBP 13.3 million fine follows an investigation into their early-exit charges. In a statement, Virgin said that it disagreed with the decision and would file an appeal with the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT).
