Virgin France talks to Completel, others about ADSL launch

Wednesday 8 December 2010 | 10:57 CET | News
MVNO Virgin Mobile France is in advanced negotiations with business operator Completel and has contacted other carriers about possibly launching fixed broadband internet services over their networks, reports L'Express citing Virgin CEO Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux. Completel, a sister company of major cable operator Numericable, already carries data traffic for Darty and Auchan. According to L'Express, Virgin France could soon launch an ADSL service using a fibre backbone and 700 unbundled DSL exchanges in 50 cities. With its 1.7 million subscribers, Virgin Mobile is the country's biggest MVNO.
