Virgin Media Q4 revenue grows 4% to GBP 1.07 bln

UK cable operator and MVNO Virgin Media reported revenue up 4 percent to GBP 1.07 billion in the fourth quarter of 2014, compared to a year-earlier, driven by cable subscription revenue up 3.8 percent to GBP 739.5 million, thanks to customer additions and a price increase in February. Mobile subscription revenue rose by 9.3 percent to GBP 124.3 million, reflecting an improved customer mix with a larger proportion of postpaid customers on higher-end tariffs. Virgin Media added 69,000 cable customers in the fourth quarter, including 44,200 organic additions and 24,800 in an adjustment for SOHO
