Virgin Media has announced an agreement with Chiltern District Council to roll out Wi-Fi along Chesham's high street. The unlimited Wi-Fi service is available to residents, businesses and visitors passing through the centre of Chesham. The new network also covers parts of Lowndes Park and supports speeds up to 166 Mbps. Connectivity will be delivered directly from Virgin Media's street cabinets and the UK's first Wi-Fi connected 'Smart Pavement'. The pilot is available to all 21,000 residents and businesses of Chesham.
