Virgin Mobile aims for 2% of Peruvian mobile market by 2019

Virgin Mobile will launch its Peruvian operations in the third quarter and is looking to sign up half a million subscribers, or 2 percent of the market, over the next three years, reports website Semana Economica, citing the operator's CEO Steve Logue. "We're a niche MVNO, 100 percent prepay, aimed at young people aged 18 to 34," said Logue, adding that the operator plans to consolidate its business with 4G voice and data offers in the capital Lima before expanding to the country's provinces.
