Virgin Mobile to double market share in Chile in 18 months

In an interview with Diario Financiero, the President and CEO of Virgin Mobile in Latin America, Peter MacNee, said the operator aims to double its current mobile market share of 1 percent in Chile during the next year and a half. The manager also indicated that for 2014, the plan is to enter the Mexican market and then continue with Brazil and possibly Peru. MacNee also said that Chile and other countries in the region have a fairly open and progressive regulatory environment, which aims to promote competition.
