Vivacom supported child safety workshops held by CoderDojo Bulgaria and the 'Digital National Coalition (Digitalna nacionalna koalicija),' which took place during the 10-11 February weekend. On 10 February, initiators organised three workshops that gathered over 200 parents and their children aged between 7 and 13. The workshops were held on the occasion of the International Safer Internet Day in partnership with the State Agency for Electronic Governance. The purpose of the lessons was to explain to children in an accessible way the risks that the internet hides and to introduce them to ways to protect themselves.

A Vivacom representative recommended parents to use the mobile application "Protect your kid", which helps them to restrict the content and functionalities that their children use on their smartphones. The application is free and is made by Bulgarian developers. CoderDojo also prepared an on-line Internet Safety Handbook for children and parents, which can be downloaded from the organisation's website www.coderdojo.bg.
