French media group Vivendi has acquired the Studios de Boulogne TV production facilities in Paris, where its Canal Plus pay TV subsidiary makes two of its shows. Established in the 1940s, the studios have been the cornerstone of the French film and TV industry for generations and the setting for over 300 French films and some major American ones. The buildings were renovated as a TV production facility in 2000. The venue includes four large studios, production house Flab Prod and two top Canal Plus shows, Canal Football Club and Le Grand Journal. Vivendi said the acquisition gives it tighter
