Vivo and Ericsson demonstrate drone operation via mobile network

Brazilian mobile operator Vivo and Ericsson have demonstrated for the first time the operation of a drone through a mobile network using a SIM card. At the Futurecom 2017 event, the drone was connected to the operator's 4G+ (LTE Advanced) network, with the adoption of "5G Plug-ins" by Ericsson, which bring 5G concepts to the 4G network, such as MTC (Machine-Type Communication) and MEC (Mobile Edge Computing), with maximum latency reduction.
