Vivo calls for changes in Brazilian telecom legislation in order to boost investment in infrastructure

Vivo's VP of corporate affairs Camilla Tapias, has advocated changes in telecom legislation in order to expand investments in infrastructure. Secretary of Telecommunications Vitor de Oliveira Menezes announced the implementation of networks in the North and Northeast regions, in partnership with small providers. The goal is to offer connectivity to areas currently underserved by telecom operators. Another project concerns the creation of guarantee funds so that small ISPs can finance the expansion of their networks.
