VKI considers legal action against T-Mobile Austria

Austria consumer protection group VKI is planning legal action against T-Mobile Austria for forcing its customers and those of discount brand tele.ring to actively opt out of an internet protection package, WebStandard reports. T-Mobile has sent texts to customers warning them about mobile internet threats such as viruses and spyware. It is offering a protection system which costs EUR 1.90 per month. However, customers not wanting to use the service must actively stop the service via SMS, otherwise they will automatically be charged after a free test phase. VKI spokesperson Peter Kolba told
