VMware revenues rise 16% to USD 2.59 bln in Q4

Revenues for the quarter rose 16 percent from the year before to USD 2.59 billion. License revenue jumped 21 percent to USD 1.23 billion and services revenue advanced to USD 1.360 from 1.208 billion. The net result rose to a profit of USD 502 million or USD 1.21 per diluted shares, despite a loss of USD 38 million on an investment in Pivotal Software, against a loss the year earlier of 387 million or 0.96 per share.
