VMware starts tender offer for Carbon Black

VMware said it has started its cash tender offer to buy all the shares of cloud cybersecurity specialist Carbon Black at USD 26 per share, for a total of about USD 2.7 billion. The offer will, unless exptended, expire on 3 October at midnight, New York City Time. VMware will file today a Tender Offer Statement on with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
