Vodacom installs 3 more solar-powered sites in South Africa to cut carbon emissions

Vodacom South Africa has installed solar-powered sites in Polokwane, Vereeniging and Bloemfontein. It has invested over ZAR 8 million in them as part of its commitment to alternative energy sources to power its operations where feasible. They are in addition to a solar project that was deployed at a base station controller site in Randburg, Gauteng, in May 2020.
