Vodacom Nigeria supports schoolgirls wanting to study ICT

Friday 8 May 2015 | 13:24 CET | News
Vodacom Business Nigeria has partnered with e-Business Life Communication to support senior secondary schoolgirls interested in studying ICT at tertiary education level. Senior Manager for Product Portfolio, Obafunke Atanda, said that the number of women currently employed in ICT in Nigeria is extremely low compared with the number of men. This can be attributed not only to the relative lack of girls and women studying science and technology at secondary and tertiary institutions, but also to the number of girls given access to formal education.
